A visit of Research and Graduate Affairs at IUG to the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs

 A delegation from the Research and Graduate Affairs at the Islamic University of Gaza met   his Excellency Prof. Ismail Radwan - Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. The IUG delegation included Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shabat - Vice-President of the Islamic University for Research and Graduate Affairs, accompanied with Prof. Dr. Fouad El-Ajez - Assistant Vice President for Research and Graduate Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Nizam Al-Ashgar- Assistant Vice President for Research and Graduate Affairs.

Excellency Prof. Radwan welcomed delegation University and confirmed on the depth of the relationship that binds the ministry with university by holding  joint activities. In addition, his Excellency welcomed the ministry sponsorship of  University Prize of students’ outstanding theses of Osool Edin and Sharia & law faculties comes as part of activities to be on the ministry's support. Furthermore, Excellency Prof. Radwan expressed ministriy’s willingness to support distinguish projects that benefit and develop the Palestinian community.

From his side, Prof. Shabat thanked Excellency Prof. Radwan on the sponsorship of University Prize. In addition, Prof. Shabat offered a cooperation between the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs and IUG by supporting some graduate students in directing their research towards the priorities and concerns of the ministry. Furthermore, Prof. Shabat suggested creation of scientific chairs  to serve the development of the Islamic Waqf and Zakat systems, and granting  some Osool Edin and Sharia & law faculties academic staff at IUG regarding the sabbatical leaves to complete their research and studies about the development of such systems in Palestinian community.
