Nine master's students at IUG win the MEDRC's Grant for Desalination

The Palestinian Water Authority announced the names of the students who have been accepted for the grants provided by the Middle East Desalination Research Center MEDRC.

 Nine master's students in the faculties of engineering and science won this grant: Adeeb Qeshta, Ahmed Elmanama, Mohammed El-Dalu, Abdul Rahman Saleh, Alaa Awad, Moaz Afifi, Mohamed kelab, Tamer Barood and Yasser Khader. While the number of students who received scholarships from Palestinian universities reached (29) master's students.

Prof. Abdelraouf A. Elmanama, vice president of the Research and Postgraduate Affairs, expressed his pride in IUG's students for obtaining a quarter of the grants provided to almost every university in Palestine. He also stressed on the importance of the MEDRC grant in supporting scientific research for master's students at universities in the areas of energy, water desalination and wastewater.

It should be noted that each year the Middle East Desalination Research Center offers a group of master's students at Palestinian universities this grant. This center is a specialized center that studies desalination of saline water and sea water, alternative energy and wastewater reuse in all aspects.
